The Empty Magazine is focused on the experience of making art. There is no need for deeper meanings or altruistic motives when it comes to The Empty Magazine. Poetry included in our magazine need not have form, style, or a theme if the poet creates an experience for the reader. We look for poets who own their art and hold themselves to their own set of standards.
Started in 2021 The Empty Magazine is the capstone project of, Alex Houk, a Champlain College Professional Writing major who is working as both the magazine’s editor and designer. Editions of The Empty Magazine are to be published on its website for anyone to view. This magazine is what you make of it.
